Subtitling and captioning transmission software
Swift TX meets the demands of multiformat time-of-air subtitle transmission, with high availability, automation interfaces and the ability to transcode in real time. It can work in tandem with Swift vTX to transcode VBI or VANC encoded subtitles to open or closed Teletext or DVB format subtitles.
With facilities for late subtitles to be ‘dropped’ onto the unit close to broadcast and a live subtitling interface with Swift Create, Swift TX can handle any subtitle transmission task.
Swift TX offers powerful, cost effective, multi-format subtitle transmission that reduces complexity and increases reliability and productivity.
For the preparation of 3D subtitles and captions, the Softel subtitling and captioning preparation and re-purposing software, Swift Create, has been enhanced to support 3D BDN file specifications as well as external 3D graphics insertion systems for both preview and transmission.Click here for more information on 3D subtitling and captioning with Softel Swift.
To configure and monitor an entire subtitle transcoding and transmission operation, Softel has developed Dashboard. Dashboard provides a central unifying point from which to administer multi-channel, multi-language subtitling and captioning installations. For more information on Dashboard, click here.
Softel Swift Archive solution offers fast and efficient retrieval of subtitle files with an advanced searchable archive store. A fault tolerant architecture, using mirrored servers, protects against loss of data and safe guards investment in subtitle content creation and re-purposing.
